BREAKING: Bobrisky bag six months jail term

Idris Okuneye, also referred to as Bobrisky, is a controversial crossdresser who entered the Federal High Court in Lagos State on Friday and admitted to being a man before being sentenced to six months in prison for abusing the Naira.

Judge Abimbola Awogboro asked him before the punishment what gender he was, to which he swiftly replied that he was a man, while the judge sentenced him to six months in prison without the possibility of a fine for abusing the naira.

Upon the judge’s inquiry, “Are you a man or a woman?” Bobrisky replied, “I am a man.” Awogboro said that the ruling will serve as a warning to those who would be discovered mistreating and disfiguring naira.

He further stated that the day of his arrest, March 24, 2024, marked the start of his prison sentence.

Recall that the court had, on April 5, convinced the court that he was unaware of the law against the misuse of naira and consequently convicted him after he entered a guilty plea to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s charge of currency abuse.

He said, “I know, My Lord. My Lord, I wish that you could give me a second chance to use my platform to inform and educate my followers about spraying money.

“I would do a video on my page, and I would educate people about spraying money.

“I will not repeat it, My Lord. I regret my actions, My Lord,” he added.
