BREAKING: APC’s Okpebholo Wins Edo Governorship Election (SEE RESULT)

Senator Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared the winner of the Edo State governorship election, defeating his main opponents, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP).

The Returning Officer, Prof. Faruk Kuta, announced Okpebholo’s victory at the collation center in Benin City, where he garnered 291,667 votes against Ighodalo’s 247,274 and Akpata’s 22,763.

Kuta confirmed, “That Okpebholo, having satisfied the requirement of the law, is thereby declared the winner and returned elected.”

Edo State, comprising 18 Local Government Areas, has traditionally seen APC strength in Edo North and PDP dominance in Edo Central and South.
