United Kingdom-based former footballer and Director of Bayelsa Football Academy, Awoala Kpunpamo, has commended the appointment of former U20 Coach Ladan Bosso as the new manager of Bayelsa United.

Kpunpamo asserts that Bosso’s leadership will be instrumental in improving the club’s performance in the next Nigerian Premier League season.

Ladan Bosso, the former head coach of the Flying Eagles, was on Tuesday, unveiled as the new manager of Bayelsa United, a team in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

This marks Bosso’s return to Bayelsa United, where he previously served as manager from 2012 to 2014.

Bosso, 56, arrived in Yenagoa to finalise his contract details with the NPFL side and is expected to lead the team to greater success in the upcoming season.

Bayelsa United narrowly missed relegation last season, maintaining their league status on the final day.

The club now looks to Bosso to guide them towards a more successful campaign.

Kpunpamo noted that Bayelsa United sought out Bosso’s expertise following a lackluster performance in the NPFL last season.

The Restoration Boys finished the season in 15th place, barely escaping relegation. Kpunpamo is confident that Bosso’s vast experience in managing several NPFL teams will significantly benefit Bayelsa United.

Bosso’s career includes managing prominent NPFL clubs such as Kano Pillars, Wikki Tourists, Abia Warriors, and El-Kanemi Warriors.

Kpunpamo believes that Bosso’s wealth of experience will bring much-needed improvement to the Yenagoa-based club.

The appointment of Bosso has generated optimism among Bayelsa United supporters, who are hopeful that his managerial skills and familiarity with the club will lead to a successful season.

His return is seen as a strategic move to rejuvenate the team and enhance their performance in the league.

Under Bosso’s leadership, Bayelsa United aims to overcome last season’s challenges and position themselves as formidable contenders in the Nigerian Premier League.

Fans and stakeholders alike look forward to the positive impact that Bosso is expected to bring to the team.
