Bauchi College to Hold SUG Election Nov 3

There are strong indications that the Student activities in Bauchi State College of Agriculture will soon begin to experience a boost.

This is as a result of the new directive by the students affairs of the institution for an election to be held by the Student Union Governement.

For about 2 years now, a Caretaker Committee headed by Jubril Abubakar has been running the affair of the Students Union.

In our interview with CAMPUS FOCUS, the Dean, Students Affairs of the College Dr. Shehu Abdulkadir Zailani stated that the election is targeted at given a new beginning to the students union body. Added that the election is expected to held under a free and fair election.

He however enjoined all Students to ensure they continue to respect law and order while carrying out their academic activities in the institution.

“This election will enable students to exercise their democratic right by voting the credible candidate of their choice. And also while we want our students to participate in this democratic process, we want them to also respect the law and compose themselves orderly in all their activities”

The 2017/18 election is however slated for November 3rd with some electoral committee members already appointed by the management.

Sa’idu Ahmad Adam -chairman
Sulaiman Muhammad Adam- secretary
Maina Abubakar – member
Mai kasuwa maidawa lamba – member
Ibrahim Abdullahi Soro – member
Among others.
