Aviation Minister, Keyamo Launches Public-Private Partnership for Airport Infrastructure Devt

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has officially launched a new public-private partnership initiative aimed at advancing airport infrastructure across Nigeria.

The launch took place during a visit to Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

According to Tunde Moshood, the Special Adviser to the Minister on Media and Communications, the event highlighted the ongoing renovation of the E-Wing toilets at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, a project managed by the private firm Max Impact Africa.

Moshood noted, “This renovation, which the Minister and Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) officials reviewed, sets a benchmark for future airport upgrades in Nigeria.

The E-Wing renovation demonstrates FAAN’s commitment to using private sector resources and expertise to deliver infrastructure that meets international standards and improves passenger experiences.”

During the inspection, Minister Keyamo praised the FAAN Private Sector Collaboration and Renovation Programme as a significant advancement in the country’s aviation sector.

He stressed, “Sustained partnerships with the private sector are crucial to keeping Nigeria’s airports competitive and capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving global aviation industry.”

The Minister’s visit also marked the official launch of the FAAN Private Sector Collaboration and Renovation Programme.

This initiative is set to enhance airport infrastructure across the country, aiming to elevate service quality at FAAN airports and strengthen Nigeria’s position in the global aviation arena.
