APC Youth Wing Commends Tompolo for Oil Security Efforts

By Chuks Peter, DELTA

The Youth Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended High Chief Dr. Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, for his efforts in safeguarding Nigeria’s crude oil facilities and empowering youths in the Niger Delta and across the nation.

This commendation took place during an event marking President Bola Tinubu’s first year in office.

The APC Youth Wing seized the opportunity to pledge their loyalty and present awards of excellence to Tompolo, the CEO of Tantita Security Services.

The group highlighted that the awards were in recognition of the significant services rendered by Tompolo and his organisation in protecting crude oil from theft and vandalism.

They also praised him for his efforts in youth empowerment, not only within the Ijaw nation but throughout the Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole.

The event saw participation from various levels of the National Youth Wing of the party, including National Officers, Zonal Officers, State Youth Leaders, and ward representatives.

Speaking with our correspondent, Hon. Jamaluddeen Kabir stated, “We recognised him based on the fact that he is empowering the youths, not just in the Ijaw Nation but all over the country. We’re living testimonies of this.”

Kabir highlighted the importance of continued support for youth empowerment and encouraged partnership with the APC Youth Wing down to the grassroots level.

Similarly, APC Southwest Youth Leader, Comrade Lawal Paff, lauded Tompolo’s contributions to national security by protecting the pipelines, which has in turn boosted internally generated revenue.

He urged the youths to collaborate with Tompolo’s security outfit to further enhance Nigeria’s oil production.

Paff said, “I am calling on our youths to take advantage of what Tompolo is doing and work with him to make the country great. Always think of what you can do for Nigeria, and not what Nigeria can do for you.”

In response, Tompolo expressed gratitude for the recognition and awards, urging the youth to support President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to improve the country.

He acknowledged the challenges posed by illegal bunkering and called on the youth to stand firm with the president and join those who are working towards the nation’s progress.

“I thank all of you very much for leaving your various places and travelling all the way to Oporoza. It’s not an easy task. I believe you would have read in different newspapers that Tompolo is fighting illegal bunkering.

“Yes, crude oil is the only source of survival in this country, and 90 percent of our people, in one way or the other, are involved in illegal bunkering,” Tompolo stated.

“So, I admonish our people, especially the youth wing, to stand firm with Mr. President and join those who are doing the right thing to salvage our country.”
