APC Chieftain Allegedly Tortured for Criticising Kaduna Gov

A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and close ally of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Abdulmajid Kwamanda, was allegedly physically assaulted by unidentified security personnel.

Kwamanda, a well-known Kano-based politician, was handcuffed and flogged by his attackers at an undisclosed location under the cover of darkness.

A video of the incident, which is rapidly spreading on social media, shows Kwamanda dressed in a white kaftan and blue cap, being whipped while restrained, and being questioned for his criticisms of Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State.

In the footage, Kwamanda can be heard pleading for mercy, asking the attackers to consider his health condition.

However, the assailants ignored his pleas and intensified their aggression, warning him to stop criticising the governor.

Kwamanda has accused Governor Sani of orchestrating the attack and has vowed to pursue legal action against both the governor and the attackers.

“I will surely take legal action against Kaduna State Governor Alhaji Uba Sani and those who were ordered to nearly kill me through beatings, despite my health condition,” Kwamanda stated.

He further explained that the incident took place in Kaduna at night, in an area he could not immediately identify.

Despite the attackers covering their faces, Kwamanda believes he can identify them.

Recall that Kwamanda’s comments on the internal crisis within the APC in Kaduna State, including accusations of betrayal against former Governor Nasir El-Rufai, were made during a recent radio interview.
