Alumni associations have been enjoined to contribute more to the infrastructural development of their Alma Mata.

The Principal who emphasised that the State Government is trying it’s best, noted that Alumnus, individuals and parents should play their role by contributing to the development of the school.

“I can say we have never had it as good as this because the government is doing his possible best to right the previous wrongs. Salary now is paid on the 25th and as a civil servant, you can really plan with that.

“Government is doing their possible best but you know government cannot do everything.
“The Old Students, philanthropists and parents, they have to play their own roles.”

When asked on the current infrastructural issues in the school, Mr. Animasahun stressed that the roof as well as Science Laboratory is badly affected.

He said, “students can no longer make use of the last floor of the school building. We had to move the students out from there because the classes there are always flooded whenever it rains.

“The senior school also does not have a toilet.”

Continuing, he said, “Government gave us a lot of Science Liboratory materials worth between .N5m to N1million but the laboratory is not in good condition. The cupboard to put this things is also bad.”

Speaking on some efforts already put in place, the principal said, “I am working on the toilet, it has already been floored and some other works carried out. For the student to be presentable, I introduced tie and l gave it to them free including badge.

For the old students, “I make sure I don’t collect any money whenever they come for their testimonials or WAEC certificate.

“All this and many more, I do just to ensure that I encourage the students.”

In his remarks, the National President of the Alumni Association, Comr. Badmus Olatunji who expressed concern over the state of the dilapidated structure in the school, called on all Alumnus to intervene and support their Alma mata.

He said “we have seen what you have said in terms of the dilapidated roofs. We are using this medium to call all the good nigerians to support the school so we can be able to have a good learning evironment for the students.

“We sincerely appreciate your efforts and that of the junior school principal so far especially in ensuring that the school is properly managed even in the midst of scares resources,” he said
In the same vein, the Alumni General Secretary, Comr. Aderonke Animasahun appreciated the principals.
