Concerned members of Ladigbolu Royal Lineage of Agunloye family in Oyo town have said the family has no anointed candidate among those aspiring for the position of the Alaafin of Oyo.
The members while urging those aspiring to be Alaafin not to allow their personal ego and selfish interest to create crack in the family also called for a resolution that will present a younger person to the kingmakers.
The coordinator, Lekan Salman Ladigbolu, on Wednesday, said in a statement made available to newsmen that all aspirants from the family are eminently qualify.
He added that they will appreciate it if the aged ones among them can step down and play advisory roles to the younger ones in the race.
Eight members of the Ladigbolu family including Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu, Abideen Olaide Ladigbolu, Prince Hakeem Abiodun Adeyanju Ayinde Ladigbolu, Adewale Aderemi Ladigbolu, Akeem Aderibigbe Adigun Ladigbolu, Lukman Alabi Olugbenga Ladigbolu, Ayobami Ladigbolu, Kolade Sani Ladigbolu are vying for the throne of Alaafin.
The group which appealed to the kingmakers to be just and do the right things in the selection process also urged Governor Seyi Makinde to use the same wisdom in picking the Soun of Ogbomoso to pick the next Alaafin.
