Al-hikma varsity unveils plans to commence new academic programmes

The management of Alhikma University has disclosed its plans to commence new academic programme in line with the steady growth and its philosophy of expansion.

The Director of Academic and Planning of the University Dr. Lateef Oladimeji who made the disclosure in an interview yesterday explained that the programmes is to commence in two faculty, Natural Sciences/Humanities and Social Science.

“We are currently planning to add new programmes to the existing ones in order to grant educational opportunities to desirous youth of this country and outside Nigeria”

The programmes, according to him are Bachelor of Science in urban and regional planning, Estate Management, Petroleum chemistry, public health, Sociology and Bachelor of Art in Fine and Applied Arts.

While calling for proposals and expression of interests from the existing programme, Oladimeji said that a technical working group chaired by Prof. Taofeek Sunmonu has been has been set up by the Vice Chancellor to ensure a smooth process.

He also said after the necessary proposal is submitted it will undergo scrutiny to ensure compliance with the basic minimum academic standards provided by National University Council (NUC)
