Wife of the outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha on Thursday made an avoidable blunder when she addressed herself as the “exiting wife of the President.
By such a statement, it implies that she leaving her husband, Buhari.
Aisha spoke at the launching of a book in Abuja authored by the President of the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs. Vickie Anwuli Irabor, titled, “The Journey of a Military Wife”.
Despite making the blunder, Aisha who meant to say, “wife of the outgoing President”, continued her speech unaware the statement was erroneous.
She said, “As the wife of the President, exiting wife of the president, I will like to use this medium. On behalf of the former first ladies of Nigeria. For the Federal Government to consider us as people that need help, not as magic makers, and also the privileges that is given to the former Presidents of Nigeria, they should do more, it is still not enough, considering what people go through in that house during the launching of the book ‘The journey of a military wife'”
