A’Ibom Lawmaker defects to PDP

The Member Representing Ikono State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Asuquo Nnana, today, May, 28 officially defected from the Young Progressive Party (YPP) to the ruling party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The lawmaker said he was moved by the impressive development strides of the PDP led government and was discouraged by his former political party’s internal which has rendered the party astray in the state.

By this development, the 26 seats of the House of Assembly is occupied by the PDP.

Receiving the new member, Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Udeme Otong appreciated Nana for the boldness, assuring him that he will be given equal and commensurate treatment in the PDP family.
