AFCON: Nigeria wins South Africa, meets Cote D’Ivoire for final

Super Eagles of Nigeria has defeated the South Africa team in a penalty shootout at the ongoing African Cup of Nation finals.

The Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali produced a man-of-the-match performance, saving two penalties as Nigeria won their way to the final after an extreme display with a 4-2 penalty shootout win over South Africa at the Stade de la Paix, Bouke.

Nwabali saved two kicks from Teboho Mokoena and Evidence Makgopa while Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho buried the decisive kick for Nigeria in his first involvement at the tournament.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will clash with the Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire on Sunday in the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
