The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has raised an alarm over the use of AI-generated videos to scam people.
In a statement posted on his personal X account, Adeboye warned that these videos, which appear to show him promoting certain drugs and scholarships, are fake and designed to deceive and mislead people.
Adeboye urged his followers and the general public to be vigilant and not fall for these fraudulent schemes.
He also encouraged social media users to report any fake accounts and videos immediately.
The RCCG leader specifically mentioned “Africa Health Centre” and “Church-Funded Scholarships” as the entities behind the malicious acts.
The use of AI-generated videos to scam people is a growing concern, and Adeboye’s warning highlights the need for people to be cautious when interacting with online content.
The RCCG leader’s swift response to the scam is also commendable, as it helps to prevent further deception and protect his followers and the general public.
Adeboye’s statement serves as a reminder that scammers are becoming increasingly sophisticated in their tactics, and it is essential for people to be vigilant and skeptical when encountering online content that seems too good to be true.
