The Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko (AAUA), Ondo has announced the closure of School for the next two weeks over the death of two of it Students Miss Temitope Ayedun and Olakunle Olayinka
While Ayedun, a 200 level student of Department of Educational Management was said to have been sick after allegedly contacted Lassa fever before she lost her life, Olayinka was allegedly shot dead by some unidentified gunmen.
Some of the students of the school disclosed that Olayinka was killed during a shootout between rival cult group on Friday evening.
However the institution in a statement issued and signed by the Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olugbenga Ige, the school approved a two-week mid-semester break for all students of the institution with immediate effect.
The statement said the break became necessary to enable students refresh and prepare ahead for the examination.
The school in the statement condoled with the families of the deceased and said, “The university management received, with rude shock, the loss of two of our students to death in the course of the week.
