A’ Ibom Gov Urges Youth Self-Devt for Global Competitiveness

Governor Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State in a compelling message to youth, has stressed the significance of continuous self-improvement to capitalise on global opportunities.

Addressing students at the University of Uyo Permanent Site post his PhD seminar, Governor Eno emphasised the need for proactive preparation, highlighting that opportunities may not linger indefinitely.

While acknowledging the societal call for youth empowerment, Eno urged youths to actively cultivate their skills to excel in today’s competitive landscape.

Reflecting on his academic journey, Governor Eno reaffirmed his commitment to completing his PhD despite previous interruptions due to political engagements.

His seminar paper titled, “Natural Resources Governance and Socio-economic Development of Oil Producing Communities in Akwa Ibom State,” advocated for equitable distribution of derivation funds to oil-producing communities.

Governor Eno reiterated his administration’s commitment to educational advancement, promising annual bursaries for Akwa Ibom students and additional educational support as necessary.

Expressing gratitude to the university community for supporting his academic pursuits, Governor Eno pledged to represent the institution positively through state policies and programmes.

He commended the university’s integrity during election campaigns, applauding its steadfastness against misinformation and divisive tactics.
