Lagos ex-dep gov congratulates Hilda Baci for record breaking

Former deputy governor of Lagos State, Alhaja Sinatu Ojikutu, has congratulated Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, for attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the “longest cooking marathon by an individual”.

Baci, on Monday morning, set out to smashed the 87 hours 45 minutes record set by Guinness World Record holder, Lata Tandon, from India.

In a statement on Thursday, the former deputy governor of Lagos State congratulated Baci for her resilience and determination in the record breaking feat.

She said, “I congratulate you dear for such laudable effort. This is another achievement for women in Nigeria.

“I salute the courage and endurance tenacity and fearlessness of Hilda Baci in her quest for the first spot by joining the league of first female achievers in the fields dominated by men.

“With the right encouragement in conducive environment nothing is beyond the reach of Nigerian women and men. God will continue to bless Nigeria and give Nigerians more enterprising spirits to promote our positive and minimise the negatives behaviours.”
