A former Commissioner of Youth and Sport in Sokoto State, Bashir Usman Gorau has defeated a four term incumbent member representing Gada-Goronyo federal constituency of the House of Representatives in Sokoto State, Musa S Adar.
Bashir, 32-year-old, who contested under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled 29,679 votes to defeat the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adar who scored 25,549 votes.
Recall that the election was earlier declared inconclusive as a result of some issues.
