As the scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) bite harder across the country, the State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Oyo State Command, CC Adaralewa Michael has warned the Petroleum marketers to avoid selling the product into kegs.
According to a release made available to NATIONAL TELESCOPE by the Public Relation Officer, DSC Oyindamola Okuneye, the Commandant warned all Petrol dealers and tanker drivers that are in the habit of diverting the product to desist from such acts.
He made this known on Thursday at the Command State Headquarters of the Corps at Agodi while meeting with some of the dealers in the State.
The Commandant charged the dealers to desist from hoarding the product as it brings unnecessary hardship to the citizens, he said.
Meanwhile, the men of the Anti -Vandalization unit of the Corps will start a routine check on all filling stations in the State and anyone found hoarding the product will be dealt with as an enemy of the State.
In his word, “Government is doing everything possible to make life easy for its citizens and we all need to support the government by doing the right thing at all times”, said Commandant Adaralewa.
He also called on the people of the State to be part of the nation’s building by providing information to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to checkmate those who indulge in the habit of hoarding fuel in the State.
