As part of efforts to improve on the welfare and conditions of service for officers and men of the Corps, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has promoted and upgraded 5010 officers and men of the Corps across the board, 138 from Oyo State Command.
The Oyo State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), CC Adaralewa Michael Akintayo made this known during the decoration ceremony of the newly promoted officers on Tuesday at the NSCDC, Headquarters, Agodi Ibadan.
The Commandant in his welcome address, noted that according to the Corps helmsman, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, the promotion of officers and men of the Corps is part of his administration’s drive to encourage hard work, and promote the culture of reward of excellence.
He charged the officers whose names were not among the list of promoted staff to remain patient as their turn will definitely come.
” To the officers who were not promoted this time around, there is always another time. I therefore charge you to continue to carry out your duties accordingly,” he said. Adding that “promotion comes from God”.
He implored them to maintain the core mandate of the Corps in protecting of Criminal Assets and Infrastructure and ensure peaceful coexistence of farmers and herders, conflict resolution among the civil populace.
In his word, every Corps should frown at human rights violations in any form.
The NSCDC Oyo State Command beneficiaries includes, ACC Akinbitan Bashir O. promoted to DCC. CSC Awotide Adelani R. promoted to ACC. Then, CSC Owolabi Olufemi S. promoted to ACC. CSC Olasedidun Ademola G. now the ACC. CSC Kareem Adeniyi A. also promoted to ACC.
Former SC Adeyemi Olubukola A. now the CSC. While SC Ayanwale Abiodun O. promoted to CSC.
Others are:DSC Kehinde Adedayo O. now the SC. DSC Adeniran Israel T. now the SC.
Similarly, ASC Idomo Semiu A. promoted to DSC. ASC 1 Aderoyeke Odunayo O. promoted to DSC. Former ASC1 Arinde Kikelomo T. promoted to DSC.
Also, ASC2 Odebunmi Dare A. promoted to ASC1. While ASC2 Oyegoke Oluyemi R. promoted to ASC1. ASC2 Adefioye Adebimpe O. now the ASC1. IC Oyebode Ayoyimika promoted to ASC2. IC Osho Damilare T. now the ASC2. Then, IC Okayinola Love G. promoted to ASC2.
Likewise, CCA Tijani Abdul-Jabar promoted to ASC2. CA1 Lawal Zainab promoted to ASC 2 and IC Akinrinde Emmanuel A. now the ASC2, respectively.
The occasion was graced with representatives of other security agencies as well as family and friends of the newly promoted Officers.
