2023: INEC To Begin Voters Registration at Ward Level In Oyo

In a bid to further encourage more registration of voters ahead the 2023 General Election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will commence devolution of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) to Ward levels.

This was disclosed in a Statement signed by the Oyo State Resident Electoral
Commissioner, Dr. Mutiu Agboke and made available to NATIONAL TELESCOPE on Wednesday, March 16, 2023.

According to the statement, the exercise will commence across the State from Thursday, 17 March 2022.

The statement reads, “The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Oyo State is to
commence devolution of Ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) to Ward
level ahead of the forthcoming 2023 General Election as from tomorrow, Thursday, 17 March 2022 in the State.

“According to the Media Release signed recently by the Resident Electoral
Commissioner, Mutiu Agboke (Ph.D),he further stated that the devolution exercise is also expected to take place in the Registration Areas (RAs) nearest to the registrants
in all the 33 INEC Local Government Areas in Oyo State.

“The Hon. Resident Electoral Commissioner, however urged eligible registrants
that just turned 18 years and above or who have not registered before now to start the process online via; cvr.inecnigeria.org and visit the Registration Areas, INEC Local Government Offices or INEC State Office to complete the ongoing CVR exercise.

“Dr Agboke urged the electorate to take full advantage of the rotational exercise at the Ward level in order to adequately register, collect their unclaimed Permanent Voter Card (PVCs) and thus participate actively in the forthcoming 2023 General Elections in the State”.
