Electoral Committee, Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Abdu Gusau Polytechnic Talata Mafara Zamfara State chapter has declared Murtala Muhammad Jangebe as chairman elect, Sani Musa Welfare and Bashar Labbo Auditor.
Also, Bilyaminu Auwal emerges as Vice Chairman, Lawali Bello Nahuce as Secretary General, while Ibrahim Jelaka Dansadau was elected as the Treasurer.
Others include Mrs Chinasa Ibrahim as Assistant Secretary General, Mustapha Abubakar as Financial Secretary and the rank of Public Relations officer goes to Umar Bello Na’ibi.
Speaking during the results announcement, the chairman of the ELECO, Abubakar Sadiq Isah Gora expressed appreciation to the Polytechnic’s management for all the needful support that made the election real.
The chairman also, expressed appreciation to the electorates for their cooperation and unexpected turnout during the election.
He described the election as the most peaceful election in the history of the Polytechnic.
Mal. Sanusi Kaka Talata Mafara, chairman SSANIP, Bashar Rabi’u, chairman, NASUP of the Polytechnic described the election as free, fair, credible and peaceful.
Babangida Abdullahi, Abdulqadeer Salisu Jeelani, Abubakar Abdulkarim, Muhammad Garba Balarabe and Abubakar Abdullahi all agents described the election as most peaceful.
