The Kwara State Governor has advised youths to be innovative in proferring solutions to the nation’s unending challenges.
Speaking on behalf of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq at the Banquet Hall, Ilorin, in commemoration of the National Youth Day, on Monday, the State Deputy Governor, Elder Kayode Alabi, while addressing youths at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Ilorin, appreciated the youth for supporting the programmes of the present administration since their assumption of office.
Alabi also applauded the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youths Engagement, Kaosarah Adeyi for bringing together youths from the nook and crannies of the State to mark the 2021 National Youth Day.
He said, “the Governor is a lover of youths and this can be seen in his Initiatives of youths inclusiveness in governance and youths engagement.
In her remarks, the SSA Youths Engsgement, Adeyi, said, “you will agree with me that our youths are delivering excellently in their offices and setting a pace for other youths to follow in political dispensation.”
Mall. Muhammed Brimah, MD KWAASIP talk of the core Youth driving program of His Excellency Administration which includes K-TECH, online Training for the Youths, Kpower, Kwapreneur, Kwara Youth Fair, Non-Interest loans among others which focuses on the Youths between the age of 18-35 years. Gov. AbdulRahman is a great man worthy of emulation looking at ways in which he has been selecting Youths Representatives to the Governance in Kwara State.
The youth present were schooled in Entrepreneurship, sports, academics, creative writing, painting and baking, among other fields.
The event had in attendance, aides of the Governor, Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Yakubu Salihu-Danladi ably represented by Hon. Adetiba Raphael Olarewaju, Commissioner for Youths Development, Mrs Harriet Adenike Oshatimehin, Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, Barr. Senior Suleiman, Convener Kwara Must Change, Mall. Ibrahim Hamzat, MD KWAASIP, Mall. Muhammed Brimah, Chairman Sport Commission, Hon. Magaji Bolakale among others.
