LAUTECH Teaching Hospital not affected by NUC Resolution – Mgt.

Following the handing over of ownership of LAUTECH Ogbomosho to the Oyo State Government, the Management of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo has said the status of the hospital is not in any way affected by the development,

This was according to a statement by the Chief Medical Doctor of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Prof. Peter Olaitan who maintained that the Teaching Hospital in Osogbo remains an independent organization.

The statement read in part, “The attention of Management of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Osogbo has been drawn to the new development regarding the arrangement of ownership of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso as resolved by the State of Osun and Oyo State.

“In view of the possible anxiety about the status of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Osogbo due to the above development, the Management wishes to state that the status of the hospital is not in any way affected by the development in Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso. The public is hereby assured that Lautech Teaching Hospital in Osogbo remains an independent organisanisation. It is not in any way affected by the resolution recently made on the University. The hospital will continue to render its services as ever as the government of Osun state has promised to continue to give neccessary support to the hospital.

“Towards this end, all stakeholders concerned about the services in Lautech Teaching Hospital Osogbo are hereby informed that the hospital will continue to function unabated and its operations will continue as scheduled. Our numerous patients, staff, trainees and indeed the public should remain calm as we will continue to render our services as expected.” He added.
