FG debunk rumor on payment of 150,000 to repented Boko Haram

The Federal Government has described as fake, news making rounds on social media that the federal government is planning to pay monthly allowance of 150,000 to repented Boko Haram members.

In a statement on his twitter handle, the Personal Assistant on new media to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad said the story is baseless and should be regarded as fake news.

“The Federal Government is NOT planning to start paying repented Boko Haram members N150,000 monthly, the story is baseless and should be regarded as the usual fake news.

“When you see it here or on WhatsApp, ask the poster to provide a credible source of the story.”
