The Nigerian Institute of Management (chartered), held its first ever virtual Induction for its graduate member via zoom on Thursday 14th May 2020.
The Institute, which is in strategic partnership with National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) inducted over 300 NIM-NYSC graduate member in its first ever virtual induction.
In a statement made available on its Facebook page, the Institute stated that, the induction had in attendance President and Chairman in Council, Mrs Patience E. Anabor, FNIM, the registrar/chief executive, Mr Tony Fadaka,FNIM and the director of membership service, Mr Abayomi Folarin MNIM.
Speaking to Inductees during the event on zoom, the Institutes President, Mrs Patience Anabor noted the Institute decided to adopt online option for induction because of restrictions placed on large gatherings due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic.
She urged the new inductees to be good ambassadors of the institute and to take the professional career seriously.
The statements added that, the inductees commended the Institute for being in tune with modern information technology shift being embraced by today’s forward looking organisations. The induction was moderated by Head of IT of the institute, Mr Tony Hyelda, MNIM.
The inductees were also told the modalities on how to get their membership certificates.
Highlight of the online was the interactive session of the “Values We shared” between the the registrar and the registrar.
It would be recalled that, the institute had earlier scheduled the induction on Thursday March 26 2020 in IMO state but was suspended due to covid-19 pandemic.
