Lockdown: NAUS distributes Palliative to Vulnerable Members in Kwara

Following the lockdown directives by the Kwara Government, in a bid to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the State, the National Association has distributed relief materials to vulnerable members in the State.

NAUS said this in a Statement signed by its Deputy Deputy National Secretary General, Comr. Adewoyin Tijani Adekola and made available to CAMPUS FOCUS on Tuesday, 21st April, 2020.

The statement read: “NAUS In light of the Government directives to the Citizens to stay at home due to the pandemic covid -19, With support from stakeholders, philanthropist and government in different states, isolation centres are put in place to curtain this ravaging pandemic.

“The office of the Deputy National Secretary General, National Association of University Students (NAUS) ably led by Comr Adewoyin Tijani.Today, In Ilorin, Kwara State, Within it’s capacity swift into action through the disbursement of stay at home palliatives to vulnerable University students within the state, specifically (Ilorin) the state capital.

“While observing social distancing the palliatives team moved from hostel to hostel outside the Campuse for the disbursement.

“This again open our eyes that Students really need help at this Stay at home season most especially those that are unable to travel back to their parents/destination.

“The Deputy National Secretary General’s office palliative team will further visit other schools that was left behind during the disbursement as we anticipate more support.

“We kindly implore you all to stay home, stay safe, observe all health protectives steps and most importantly pray for your nation.” It added.
