FUOYE gets New DVC as Academic activities resumes Nov 11

The Federal University Oye-Ekiti will be resuming for the next academic session on Monday November 11th, 2019.

This was according to a statement by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the university, Mr. Godfrey Bajki on Wednesday.

The statement disclosed that the Institution Senate in a meeting confirmed the appointment of a new Deputy Vice- Chancellor, Academics.

Although the name of the appointee was yet to be disclosed, with was stated that he is a Professor of Geology.

Recall that FUOYE was on September 11 closed down indefinitely due to students’ protest which resulted in the killing of two students of the school, Okonufua Joseph and Kehinde Dada on September 10, by security officials who allegedly shot at the students for being allegedly violent during the protest.

Students had protested against incessant blackout in the communities surrounding the twin FUOYE campuses.
