KWASU Commissions World Class Library, names after President Buhari

In line with its mandate on quality education delivery, The Kwara State University Malete, (KWASU) at the weekend commissioned a Library.

The library which was commissioned today by the Executive secretary of the TETFund , Professor Sulyman Elias Bogoro and its to be named after the President of the federal republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari.

The university has its created as ” World Class University” and has promised to set high standards and academic excellence for its students and further create a conducive learning environment fit enough to compete with other universities across the nation and abroad.

In his address, the former Vice Chancellor Kwara State University, Malete, KWASU Prof. AbdulRasheed Na’llah commended TETFund for supporting the institution during his tenure which made it possible for actualization of the project.

Na’allah said through the assistant of TETFund during his tenure, the course Aeronautical and Astrological was introduced to the University. Adding that, the university was the first to introduce Entrepreneurship as a course which was later adopted by all universities in Nigeria.

“”Library is the heart of every university. Without a standard library, a university can not achieve the pre-determined goals of its parent body. The library is open to all Nigeria students.

“I sincerely appreciate the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Prof. Sulyman Elias Bogoro on his efforts during the Establishment of this University and as well in the process of building the newly commissioned Library for providing adequate support and resource and as well in making it easy for the University necessary TETFund intervention for the infrastructure development of the University.

“it’s during my tenure and with the assistance of TETFund that I could afford the introduction of the course Aeronautical and Astrological to the University which is one of the first of its kind in Nigeria by also bringing Prof. Neo Daniel to take the course after Establishment of the University in 2009.

“We also had the first Entrepreneurship programme as a course of study in Nigeria which was later adopted by other Universities in Nigeria like in Borno, Sokoto Zamfara and others.

Prof Na’llah is currently the Vice Chancellor University of Abuja

Arch. Mahmud Faworaja, the contractor of the University Library while giving his speech, commends the effort of the Management of the University and likewise the member of the TETFund that grace the occasion. He said in his speech that, Prof. AbdulRasheed Na’llah always said to him that, he want the Library to be the best among it contemporary in Nigeria,  that the heart of any University is magnificent Library.

He stress that, the University has 16 thousand square metre of the space, the university is ready for complete Research from any aspect of the Educational pursuit. More So, the University is ready for operation and research for the students and readings respectively. Also with the best E-centre at the same time.

The University Library will remain the best among it contemporary for over 30 years in Nigeria.

The Executive Secretary of the TETFund, Prof. Sulyman Elias Bogoro  said that he appreciate the efforts and the commitment of the Prof. Na’llah and likewise the management of the University and as well the university community.

Mr. Alabi Kayode, The Deputy Governor of Kwara State commend the efforts of Prof. Na’llah and the school Management and promised the commitments of the Government under the leadership of Alh. AbdulRasaq Abdulrahman towards infrastructure development of the Institutions and the Welfarism of the workers more paramount.

In attendance at the event are Government functionaries Deputy Governor of Kwara State Mr. Alabi Kayode, representatives of Emir of Ilorin,  The president IEDPU, Vice Chancellor University of Ilorin, Magaji Malete Land, Daodu Malete District.
