The Ogun State Police Command has refuted a report by the Ogun Police Command, accusing the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Ibafo Divisional Police Headquarters of engaging in illegal activities.
The Command said the report falsely claimed the station is a “hotbed of illegal activities” and that it is a place of lawlessness.
The Ogun State Police Command has strongly refuted these allegations, stating that the Ibafo Divisional Police Headquarters is not a hub of illicit activities, but rather a space committed to law enforcement and upholding the rule of law.
The Command insists that the DPO, Solotan Kassim is dedicated to his duty and working to protect the public and provide a safe environment in Ibafo.
“The Ogun State Police Command refuting the allegations is a positive step. The Command’s actions are essential in helping the public to know the truth.
The police command encourages public interaction to address these issues.” said an official.
“Additionally, they encourage well-meaning individuals to support crime prevention initiatives rather than spread unfounded allegations.
They are encouraged to support law enforcement efforts and report any misconduct, especially if they observe anything suspicious.”
According to the press release by the police, the Command is committed to transparency and encourages public feedback.
