As part of his official visit to Enugu State, President Bola Tinubu has commissioned a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre, as well as 150 patrol vehicles fitted with AI-embedded surveillance cameras.
The commissioning ceremony, which took place at the Enugu State Government House, was attended by top government officials, security personnel, and other stakeholders.
The Command and Control Centre is a cutting-edge facility designed to enhance the state’s security architecture and improve response times to emergencies.
The centre is equipped with advanced technology, including surveillance cameras, communication systems, and data analytics tools, which will enable security personnel to monitor and respond to security threats in real-time.
In addition to the Command and Control Centre, President Tinubu also commissioned 150 patrol vehicles, which have been fitted with AI-embedded surveillance cameras.
The vehicles are designed to provide security personnel with real-time intelligence and enhance their ability to respond to security threats.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of security in ensuring the development and prosperity of any society.
He commended the Enugu State government for its efforts in improving the state’s security architecture and pledged the federal government’s support in this regard.
“I am delighted to commission this state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre and these 150 patrol vehicles, which will undoubtedly enhance the security of Enugu State,” Tinubu said.
He further expressed how important security should be taken, urging the unity to work together.
He said, Security is a critical aspect of our national development, and we must continue to work together to ensure that our citizens are safe and secure.”
Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, thanked President Tinubu for his support and pledged to continue working with the federal government to improve the state’s security.
He also commended the security personnel for their efforts in maintaining law and order in the state.
The commissioning of the Command and Control Centre and the patrol vehicles is part of the Enugu State government’s efforts to improve the state’s security and make it a safe haven for residents and investors.
The state government has also invested in other security initiatives, including the establishment of a neighborhood watch program and the deployment of security personnel to strategic locations across the state.
