Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), has urged Christians to apply biblical wisdom in their marriages. He advised couples to prioritize their relationship and avoid allowing their children to create a wedge between them.
Oyedepo made this statement during a sermon on the second day of the 2024 Shiloh programme, held at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State.
Speaking on the theme of this year’s Shiloh, Ever-Winning Wisdom, Oyedepo emphasized the importance of wisdom in every aspect of life. He warned that neglecting wisdom in marriage could lead to serious consequences, humorously stating, “Soon you will be wife-less if you don’t apply wisdom. You will go back to cooking and sweeping.”
The cleric also highlighted nine prophetic characteristics of the end-time church. He said there will be an outbreak of God’s wisdom, referencing Jeremiah 31:34. He added that there will be unprecedented health and vitality as promised in Isaiah 33:24 and Jeremiah 30:17. Financial prosperity, as foretold in Zechariah 1:17, Haggai 2:9, Luke 16:11, and Malachi 3:17, will also mark the era.
Additionally, Oyedepo mentioned that the end-time church will see innovations and witty inventions, as prophesied in Proverbs 8:12. He noted that it will be a time of spiritual awakening, with the rise of great spiritual leaders, citing Revelation 22:16, Acts 2:20–21, and Daniel 12:3.
The annual Shiloh programme continues to draw participants from around the world, offering spiritual guidance and divine direction to believers.
