The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has suspended the Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Engr. Hadi Ahmad, with immediate effect.
The reason for the suspension, however, remains undisclosed. A statement issued by Wike’s Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, confirmed the development on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
According to the statement, the suspension of Engr. Ahmad is effective immediately, and he has been directed to hand over his duties to the Director of Engineering Services at the FCDA.
While the Ministry did not give further details on why the suspension was enacted, this move marks a significant development in the management of the FCDA.
