Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Wednesday presented the 2025 budget proposal to the House of Assembly, acknowledging the legislators’ support for his administration.
The budget, Osun’s 34th appropriation bill, includes a capital expenditure of N144.2 billion and a recurrent expenditure of N245.8 billion, bringing the total budget to N390 billion.
Governor Adeleke stated that the budget aligns with the Osun State Development Plan (2023–2050) and focuses on completing ongoing projects to meet residents’ needs. The state expects revenue of N196 billion from the federal allocation and N109.9 billion from independent sources.
Breaking down the recurrent expenditure, Adeleke highlighted N102.9 billion dedicated to personnel costs, covering salaries, allowances, pensions, and gratuities.
Adeleke reported significant achievements under the 2024 budget, including a 40% reduction in rural healthcare gaps, rehabilitation of over 200 primary healthcare centers, expanded healthcare access for pensioners to 90%, and a 50% improvement in road infrastructure.
He reiterated his commitment to reforms that enhance service delivery for Osun’s citizens.
