President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja following his participation in the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
He arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at approximately 8 pm on Tuesday, where he was welcomed by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, ministers, and security officials.
At the summit hosted by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Tinubu addressed the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
He urged an immediate ceasefire, emphasized a peaceful resolution, and supported reviving the two-state solution as a way to achieve long-term peace in the region.
Tinubu expressed Nigeria’s concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and stressed the importance of respecting civilian rights and international frameworks.
The president commended the Saudi leadership for convening the summit and highlighted Nigeria’s commitment to supporting peace initiatives in the Middle East.
He was accompanied by senior Nigerian officials, including Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.
