Nigerian comedian, Oluwaseyitan Lawrence, popularly known as Seyi Law, has issued a stark warning to his followers about the potential risks associated with accepting gifts.
His alarming revelation, shared on his X handle, recounts a personal experience that left him shaken and more cautious.
Reflecting on the event, Seyi detailed a pivotal moment from March 2, 2016, when he conducted a vigil in his room. During his prayers, he felt compelled to investigate a suspicious object in his home. To his surprise, he discovered that a pair of shoes, gifted to him by a friend, was allegedly being used to monitor him. The unsettling realization prompted his wife to dispose of the items by burning them.
He wrote, “I wish it was only a mirror they could use to monitor someone sha. One must be very careful of gifts.
“On the 2nd March 2016, I had a vigil in my room, and as I prayed, God told me there was something in my house that they were using to monitor me and I found out it was a pair of shoes someone gifted me. My wife took it out and burnt it. Prior to that day, I always doubted people who said God spoke to them.”
