The Delta State Police Command has arrested two young men, both aged 20, in connection with the alleged murder of a yet-to-be-identified woman during a botched robbery. The grim details of the case were disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, in a video released to NAT’L TELESCOPES on Tuesday evening.

According to the police, “In a tragic turn of events, two young men have admitted to killing a woman after their robbery attempt went wrong,” Edafe said.

The police public relations officer also said, “It’s disturbing to see youths involved in such violent acts.”

A police official at the scene added, “These are young boys, all under 25, entangled in a terrible crime. It’s heartbreaking to witness young lives led astray in this manner.”

“The investigation revealed that the suspects ambushed the woman in an isolated area, where they attempted to rob her. When the situation escalated, they allegedly strangled her and inflicted severe head injuries with machetes. Haunted by remorse, one of the suspects confessed to his mother, leading to their arrest.
