Fire guts Lagos Blue Line Track

A fire occurred on the Lagos Blue Line track near NEPA Station, opposite Eko Bridge in the Apogbon area, on Saturday afternoon around 4:12 p.m.

It was gathered that Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene.

According to Gboyega Akosile, spokesperson for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, no casualties were reported.

At the time of the fire, train services were not operating in that section, reducing risks to passengers and staff.

Emergency responders quickly extinguished the blaze, and Akosile assured nearby residents that they could safely resume their activities, as the situation was under control.

Authorities have commenced investigation to unravel the cause of the fire, with further updates expected.
