An observer for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Muritala Opakunle, has raised concerns about the ongoing election process in the Warrah/Osin/Egbejila Ward of Ilorin West Local Government.

According to him, voting will not take place if all election materials and officials are not fully present at the various polling units.

Speaking around 10 AM, Opakunle lamented that elections were yet to commence, with key materials still undistributed.

He also noted that many presiding officers assigned to the different polling units were nowhere to be found.

“There will be no vote, and we will make sure we get to the root of this issue because we will not allow the ruling party to cheat us. It’s already past 10 AM, and we have not received our materials,” Opakunle said.

He further alleged that the delay might be part of a suspicious plan by the ruling party to manipulate the electoral process.

“I think the ruling party is up to something. If that’s not the case, why haven’t we started voting? Where are the presiding officers?” he questioned.

Opakunle emphasized that out of the 39 polling units across the Warrah/Osin/Egbejila Ward, materials and personnel were missing from 13 units.
