Bandits Attack Abuja Community, Kill Man, Abduct Family

In a shocking attack on Thursday night, armed bandits invaded the community of ‘Zone A, back of Primary School’ in Ushafa, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, killing a man identified as Felix Chuks and kidnapping his wife and children.

According to eyewitnesses, the heavily armed bandits stormed the community around midnight, firing sporadically, a situation that caught the local vigilance group off guard.

“The bandits came to the area around midnight when everyone was asleep.

It seemed like the man, Mr. Felix Chuks, was not cooperating with them, which was why they killed him,” a resident recounted.

Efforts by some residents to reach the vigilance services during the attack were unsuccessful.

“We tried calling the local security men, but they weren’t picking up the phone. The gunshots were just too much,” another witness said.

Attacks by bandits, who often operate from the fringes of Niger State, have increasingly targeted boundary communities in the nation’s capital, causing fear and panic among residents.

A local leader expressed concern, saying, “These bandits seem to be getting bolder with each attack. It’s like they have no fear of the authorities anymore.”

As security concerns grow, residents of Abuja and its surrounding areas are calling for increased security presence to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
