The Kwara State Police Command has made breakthroughs in three separate murder cases, arresting eight suspects in connection with the killings.

According to CP Victor Olaiya, the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, six suspects were arrested for the murder of Awesu Mojisola, a 21-year-old graduating student of Kwara State College of Health Technology.

“Mojisola was allegedly lured to Ilorin by Adebayo Joshua Happiness, an expelled student of Summit University, who promised her N15,000 to attend a sign-out party. “

He said the suspects would face charges of criminal conspiracy, theft, false personation, and culpable homicide.

In another case, Ajiro Kayode, a driver employed by the late Chief Abraham Babatunde, was arrested for allegedly murdering his employer.

“Kayode allegedly assaulted Babatunde with a plank, resulting in his death, and then dragged his body into the toilet to create the impression of an accident.”

Additionally, Abolarin Samuel Idowu, a suspected member of the notorious Eiye secret cult, was arrested for the murder of Anthony Kayode Balogun.

The police recovered several exhibits, including locally made guns, cartridges, and suspected hard drugs.

“Idowu and his accomplices will face charges for criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide, armed robbery, and illegal possession of firearms.” He said

CP Olaiya assured the public that the Kwara State Police Command remains committed to ensuring justice and maintaining peace and security within the community.

“The eight suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.” He said

The police have urged anyone with information about the cases to come forward.
