Man Found Drowned in Domestic Well in Ilorin

On Sunday, August 4, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in the Majasurawa Area of Ilorin, Kwara State, where a 38-year-old man was discovered drowned in a domestic well located on Aliara Street. The victim’s identity has not yet been disclosed.

The Kwara State Fire Service promptly responded to the emergency call received at approximately 08:23 hours. According to a statement from SFO Hassan Hakeem Adekunle, Head of Media and Publicity for the Fire Service, a rescue operation was immediately launched.

Despite their efforts, the man was found already dead in the well.

The body was subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Ganmo Division, under the supervision of DCO Olatunji.

The police are however, currently conducting an investigation to ascertain the details and circumstances leading to the incident.

The Kwara State Fire Service has confirmed the occurrence and is working closely with law enforcement to uncover the cause of this unfortunate event.

The community is in shock over the incident, and authorities are working to provide answers and support to those affected.
