Hoodlums Loot Churches in Katsina, Steal Equipment

Hoodlums disguised as protesters against bad governance have targeted churches in Katsina State, looting and damaging properties.

One of the affected churches was the Living Faith Church in Daura Local Government Area.

The assailants broke into the building and made off with various valuables.

Pastor David Jatau Sarki, who oversees the church, confirmed the incident. He reported that the hoodlums used tricycles to transport the stolen items, which included three Plasma TVs, musical instruments, over 205 plastic chairs, pastor’s chairs, a desktop computer, and a digital clock.

Pastor Jatau mentioned that the police have made some arrests in connection with the incident.

The attack on places of worship has sparked widespread condemnation, with many calling for an end to such acts of violence.
