EACOED Resumes after months of total closure By Olalekan Yusuff Ajibola Students of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo have been told to resume back for academic activities on November 6,2018.

 

This development followed a ‘joint-meeting’ held by management of the college and governing council with the representative of staff unions(COEASU and NASU) and the Students’ Union Executive of the College, where it was deliberated the module operandi for the college resumption. The staff unions had earlier insisted that her members will not resume to work until her demands are met. The demands are in full payment of arrears and outstanding salaries.

It was earlier reported that the state government has released a substantial amount of fund to cater for the arrears of the agitating staff. The management had earlier insisted that the staff must resume to work before payment is made while staff unions insisted otherwise(payment before resumption).

The meeting held between the important bodies is said to be progressive as it witness a joint decision agreed between management, governing council and staff unions as it metamorphosed a decision to resume and open the closed gate of the college. Students and staffs are happy as their lost hope resuscitated.
