Former President Jonathan to Inaugurate High Court Complex in Delta

In celebration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s one-year anniversary in office, former President Goodluck Jonathan will inaugurate the new High Court Complex in Asaba, Delta State, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. 

This event is a significant part of the Governor’s legacy projects.

This was contained in a press statement by the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, which was shared with journalists in Asaba, the capital of Delta State. 

According to the statement, Governor Oborevwori is committed to delivering more democratic dividends to the people of Delta State. 

A key highlight of these efforts is the inauguration of the state-of-the-art High Court Complex in Asaba.

The Governor has expressed that this project holds a special place in his heart.

The Commissioner emphasised the importance of the High Court Complex as a monumental symbol of justice in the state. 

To underscore its significance, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, a globally renowned icon of peace and former President of Nigeria, has been invited to inaugurate the High Court. 

The ceremony is scheduled to take place at High Court Road, GRA, Asaba, at 11 am.

The statement highlighted the complex’s impressive features, including a five-storey building equipped with six conference halls, six witness waiting rooms, a general conference hall, a ceremonial hall, chambers, library, Zoom room, a computer laboratory, public and private elevators, and a registry, among others.

Additionally, the complex will have a 350 KVA generator and an independent power plant connected to the State Independent Power Plant, ensuring an uninterrupted power supply.

Governor Oborevwori celebrated his administration’s first anniversary on May 29, 2024, with a grand praise and worship musical event, featuring some of the finest gospel artists and music ministers in the country. 

The governor reiterated his commitment to delivering more democratic dividends to the people of Delta State.
