When NAKSS Official Car Turns Impediment on Road

For an average Man, having a Car is very important especially when it comes to transporting ones family from one place to the other.

One can therefore not underestimate the importance of having a car when it comes to ease in movement and Status as both the Rich and Poor desire at one stage or the other this moving ‘Coupled-Set-of-Irons’.

The fact however is, every car no matter the size/type is expected to be maintained in other to continue deriving its benefits.

Most times, people acquire cars but due to lack of funds, they tend to neglect the maintenance aspect until it completely breakdown.

This is the current situation with the National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) National Headquarters.

The apex Kwara State Students body’s official Car has been abandoned for two days beside the road at Sango area in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

CAMPUS FOCUS Kwara State Correspondent who visited the point where the vehicle broke down observed that the back left Tyre was no longer in place.

A source had told our reporter that the tire pulled out while the vehicle was in motion and plugged to a small part dug by those constructing the road.

The car had since been lying at the road side unattended to without considering the risk it portends to road users at night.

Motorists who drive through the road which is currently undergoing construction may now begin to experience more gridlock as a result of the abandoned car.

Could it be lack of fund that has led to NAKSS National Executives abandoning the vehicle? Ofcourse, this can be better answered by the leadership of the Association.

Be it lack of funds or lack of good administrative skills, the authorities have to ensure all public property is responsibly managed as this is an urgent call to the leadership of NAKSS to take adequate measure in ensuring the vehicle is put in good condition.

Recall that the internal crisis within the Association has just been resolved with the President resuming back to office after been suspended by the Senate Council, there is however urgent need for the leadership to move into prompt action to curtail further abnormality.
