Four-month- old baby abducted at gunpoint in A’Ibom

A couple, Mr. and Mrs Udeme Eyo from Enen Atai village in Itu local government area of Akwa Ibom state, has sent a save-our-soul message to security agencies in the state to do all within their reach and recover her four month old baby, who was abducted at gun point Friday, 10th May, 2024.

Father of the baby, who spoke to our reporter said the incidence happened about 3: am, Thursday night, breaking Friday, when two hefty men broke into their house and demanded for his baby. Upon challenging them, they pulled out guns and matchet and snatched the baby from the weeping mother.

” When I rushed out to raise alarm,I saw them zoom off in a waiting car, parked about an electric pole away. As I speak, my wife is completely traumatized. We lost our first baby at about the same age. She was consoled with the second one. Look at what just happened!

The village Head, Professor Effanga Usua expressed fear and disappointment saying such occurrence was strange in the community, untill recently when a mentally deranged was disposed of her baby by unknown motorcyclists.

When contacted, Divisional Police Officer, f Itu local government, Bokime Bassey said the matter had been reported and that the police is doing everything possible to recover the baby and bring culprits to book.
