Kaduna Receives Grains from National Strategic Reserve.

Lami Victor, KADUNA |

In a significant move aimed at alleviating the plight of vulnerable citizens in Kaduna State, grains from the National Strategic Reserve were formally handed over today by Hajia Zubaida Umar, the Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), to Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State.

This action, in accordance with the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, highlights the unwavering commitment of the administration to prioritize the welfare of Nigerians. President Tinubu’s economic reforms are demonstrating gradual but tangible progress, reflecting his dedication to addressing the challenges facing the nation.

The grains allocated to Kaduna State include maize, millet, sorghum, and garri, with a focus on bringing relief to the poor, vulnerable, and underserved populations in the state. The Committee on Distribution of Palliatives, tasked with this responsibility, will ensure fair and equitable distribution, working closely with security agencies to prevent any form of diversion or hijacking.

Senator Uba Sani extends deep appreciation to key stakeholders such as NEMA, KADSEMA, EFCC, ICPC, DSS, NPF, and NSCDC for their collaboration in receiving and distributing the grains. Together, they will work tirelessly to ensure the effective distribution of these essential resources to those most in need across Kaduna State.
