NNPC Blames fuel scarcity on logistics, assures supplies, steady price

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has stepped forward to address the recent concerns surrounding the scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) in certain regions of the country.

According to a statement released by Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, the scarcity was primarily due to logistical challenges, which have now been successfully resolved.

Soneye emphasized that there are no imminent changes to the prices of petroleum products and assured the public of a steady supply of fuel nationwide.

In the statement, he urged citizens not to partake in panic buying, highlighting that there is no shortage of fuel in the country.

He reiterated that the importance of maintaining calm amidst this situation, stressing that sufficient petroleum products are available across the nation.

The company’s message to the public is clear: there is no need for panic buying as the supply of fuel remains stable.”
