The Vice Chancellor of Benue State University, Prof. Tor Iorapuu paid a surprise visit to the male hostel in the institution and had a nice meal with one of the students.
The VC was seen siting on a mattress placed on the floor in the student’s room with a plate of beans garnished with plantain and a pot beside it.
According to a post shared on one of the Facebook group account of institution the VC had a nice time.
It reads, “VC Benue State University, Prof. Tor Iorapuu yesterday visited male hostels. While in the hostel, the VC joined a student in eating the beans he prepared.”
A Facebook user with handle name @Abdul Qahar who also share on his handle what happened said the Vice Chancellor there gave some money to the student after enjoying the sumptuous meal.
He wrote, “The VC Benue State University paid a visit to one of the male hostels and had a soul refreshing meal with one of the students who prepared the last cup of beans that was left in his kitchen.
“This guy thought the VC was not going to eat his deliciously prepared meal, but surprisingly, they both enjoyed the meal together, and he was thereafter gifted some thousands of naira by the VC for hosting him. Humility is this you?”
Meanwhile the VC who appeared to had visited the hostel on inspection, directed immediate commencement of renovation work on the hostels due to the dilapidated condition.
